The《Specifications for used vehicles export renewal service》(T/CPQS A0020—2024) group standard is officially implemented from January 10th. The release and implementation of this standard fill the gap in China's used vehicle preparation service standards and will help guide related enterprises to accelerate their service processes, promoting the standardized and standardized development of China's used vehicle exports.

The standard was approved and released by the China Consumer Goods Quality Safety Promotion Association, which includes six parts: scope of application, normative referenced documents, terminology definitions, preparation process, preparation technology, and preparation level.

Used vehicles are considered "non-standard" goods, each with its own unique condition. Before circulation, it is necessary to clean and renovate the vehicle's interior and exterior, test the core components, and after the preparation service, the vehicle's condition can be improved, and the product quality and safety can be ensured. Since China launched the used vehicle export pilot program in 2019, with the joint efforts of the government, enterprises, and industry organizations, the scale of used vehicle exports has continuously achieved rapid growth, with export destinations becoming increasingly diverse. Statistics show that in the first three quarters of 2023, China's used vehicle export volume reached 160,000 vehicles. The high-quality development of used vehicle export businesses urgently needs the guidance of unified and standardized used vehicle export preparation standards.

To further standardize the used vehicle export order and help build China's used vehicle export brand, with the support of relevant departments, the compilation work of the《Specifications for used vehicles export renewal service》 group standard was carried out and approved by CCGQSPA in September 2022 for standard initiation.

Over the past year and a half, the standard drafting group strictly followed the standard development process, collecting, organizing, and analyzing relevant documents and standards. After in-depth industry research, conference discussions, public opinions solicitation, and conference reviews, the《Specifications for used vehicles export renewal service》group standard release draft was formed.

The formulation and implementation of the《Specifications for used vehicles export renewal service》group standard will promote the standardized development of the industry and help improve the overall level of the industry.
